Marker use during the construction of the Bonnieville Dam. As Aldrich Butte was also the place, as I was told that during WWII, Aldrich Butte was the location where there was an anti-aircraft gun, for use in the event the Japanese made it that far up the Columbia River. The idea was to protect the Dam from being damaged either by bombing and other means. The Northwest is so full of History. I am also surprised to learn just really how special our little part of the United States our Beautiful Pacific NW is...
